Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine is a non-permanent, injectable dermal filler manufactured by Galderma. The filler is a combination of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, with a concentration of 20mg/ml and 3mg/ml respectively. It is also available without the addition of lidocaine for people who may be sensitive to this component.

The Smart Click System, a built in dose guide, creates a clicking sound with each injected dose. This colorless gel is sterilized using moist heat and packaged in a prefilled 1ml syringe. Labels for traceability purposes, 3 single-use 39GTW ½” sterile needles, and a product information leaflet is included in the package.

Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine is an excellent choice to treat and rejuvenate sun-damaged or mature dry skin. Use to help increase dermal elasticity, restore hydrobalance, and support skin structure.

Sun damage or photodamage occurs when ultraviolet radiation (UVR) damages the skin. Ultraviolet rays exist in 2 forms, both of which can be harmful to skin health:

• UVA: These rays take up almost 95% of the UVR reaching the Earth’s surface. They can penetrate deep into the skin (deep dermis), causing premature aging and wrinkle formation.
• UVB: These rays burn the superficial layer of the skin and cause DNA damage to skin cells. This leads to sunburn and, ultimately ages skin.

When the skin is exposed to harmful UV rays for prolonged time without protection, free radicals are introduced into the body. These free radicals interfere with normal cellular repair and growth, and cells that retain skin integrity are affected. In fact, photodamage will also exacerbate the usual biological aging of the body. Practices like smoking can increase skin dehydration and the appearance of wrinkles. Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine aims to improve these skin issues by introducing hyaluronic acid into the affected areas. The increased hydration can help smooth the skin, creating a supple and fresher appearance.

Ensure you inform your patient of the expected result and any precautions. Prior to treatment, disinfect the treatment area with an antiseptic solution. Remove air by pressing the rod gently until a drop of gel is visible at the tip of the needle. Activate the Smart Click System by locking the button located on the finger grip into place. Inject Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine into the deep dermis of skin to restore elasticity and hydration from within. A full treatment is done over the course of 3 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, depending on your patient’s needs. Do not apply pressure at any time during the procedure. If resistance is met, partially withdraw the needle and reposition. You may need to withdraw the needle entirely to check for function. After the injection, massage the treated area if any irregularities are seen.

Each session takes less than an hour to complete. Advise your patients to postpone Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine treatment session if they are experiencing any skin conditions (e.g. cold sore breakouts, cysts, rashes, acne), or have recently had any other dermal procedures done.
Do not attempt to administer this product unless you are a trained medical professional.

The duration of effects are temporary, lasting up to 6 months after the initial session. Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine will be gradually absorbed by the body. You can create a maintenance schedule for your patient to retain luminous and refreshed skin all year long.

Animal-based hyaluronic acid filler gels may induce allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine, on the other hand, is produced from non-animal sources in a sterilized laboratory setting, decreasing the risk of sensitivity. In addition, this hyaluronic acid gel aims to restore natural skin hydration.

It is not recommended for use on patients who have a non-hyaluronic acid implant in the proposed treatment area, have inflamed skin or open sores around the treatment area, or have undergone recent active dermal response treatments.

Some side effects may occur due to the injection procedure.

• Redness
• Discomfort
• Swelling
• Bruising
• Itching

These effects will gradually diminish within 48 hours after the treatment session. Advise patients to keep the treated area clean and free from makeup for at least 24 hours after the procedure. Ask your client to avoid exposing the recovering areas to extreme cold or excessive sun until the skin has healed.

It is possible your patients may report rare (less than 1 in 15,000 cases) but serious reactions to the treatment.

• Superficial Necrosis
• Papules/Nodules
• Granuloma
• Abscesses

Advise your patients to get medical attention immediately if these side effects persist.

Restylane Skinboosters Vital with Lidocaine is a hyaluronic acid-based gel of non-animal origin. The hyaluronic acid molecules are extracted through Streptococci bacteria fermentation.
