MOUNJARO® 12.5mg KwikPen® - About and Key Features
MOUNJARO® 12.5mg KwikPen® is a multi-dose pre-filled injection pen designed to administer 12.5 mg tirzepatide in 0.6 mL through a subcutaneous injection once weekly. It is most often used as an intermediate titration dose for adults being treated for type 2 diabetes mellitus or for weight management in patients with obesity or overweight and related comorbidities. Each KwikPen® contains 2.4 mL of solution with a total of 50 mg tirzepatide, providing four doses of 12.5 mg. The solution is clear, colourless to slightly yellow and is intended for use in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.

MOUNJARO® 12.5mg KwikPen® - Indications
MOUNJARO® is indicated for adults with insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medicines. It is also approved for weight management, including weight reduction and maintenance, in adults with a BMI ≥30 kg/m², or BMI ≥27 kg/m² when accompanied by at least one weight-related condition such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea, or prediabetes.

MOUNJARO® 12.5mg KwikPen® - Administration Technique and Storage
Administration of MOUNJARO® requires proper injection technique and adherence to weekly dosing. Patients can self-administer after appropriate training. Each dose should be injected into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, with injection sites rotated to prevent irritation.

Start with 2.5 mg weekly for 4 weeks, then escalate gradually
